Well, it was a very busy day, that's all I can say. I took these photos at 9.50 before the doors opened and I'm glad I did as I didn't stop for a breath or a cuppa until 2pm! The atmosphere was amazing - lovely venue, live musicians, cosy cafe, very laid-back as you'd expect in Daylesford, and friendly makers from all over the region. Lots of blog girls popped in including
CurlyPops,
Tinnie Girl, and
Ric Rac. We had a 'guest spot' for a Melbourne maker (
Polly Pratt) and we hope to offer more guest spots in future, following lots of requests. We worked hard, but all in all it was a lovely day and we raised a heap of cash for the local hospital. For me personally, it is really nice to be involved in something as lovely and creative as this after the rudeness and negativity I encountered at the school fete last year (regular readers will know what I'm talking about!), and to work with some genuinely creative and open people. Plus it was a chance to do a dress rehearsal for the Sisters and Mathilda's markets that I have coming up the next two weekends! Thanks to everyone who helped Steph with the organisation, especially Betty and her team in the cafe and
Susie and Marcia who were real troopers. x

oh that looks like such good shopping! I love the cafe sign - i'd like that for my kitschen. I love signs. Every time I pass a sad and empty woolworths store I have the urge to find a stepladder and pinch the 'T'! Someone in our local town already nabbed an 'R'! t.x

We traveled 2+ hours to get there - made numerous laps of the market and then drove home again (as the weather wasn't conducive to our picnic plans) - and it was well worth the trip! Congratulations to all involved and especially the organizers - BRAVO!
I hope there will be another one before Christmas, being a nanni of 10 soon I will be looking for gifts that is for sure.....love the photos.

ohh, face painting! i always hated getting to the age where you're 'too old' to get your face painted. i wish it could still be done (in a semi socially-acceptable manner) for adults... kids get all the fun.
