Thinking Pink - Giveaway

On my way to open up the shop today I came across an eye-catching fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Network of Australia. I chatted for a while with the volunteers while making my donation and I was really impressed with how this organisation is offering so much support to people affected by breast cancer.

I felt inspired to help them raise funds so I've decided to run a blog giveaway fundraiser - as well as a prize for the winner I am donating 50 cents to BCNA for every person who enters.

All you have to do is look at these pictures of pink things from our shop and tell us (by leaving a comment on this post or visiting our shop) which pink item you like best. And one lucky person will win their choice! The giveaway ends on 23 October.

Pink 'Afternoon Tea' book by Frankie Magazine

Pink Spotty Gypsy Skirt, ages 4 or 6

Groovy Pink Dish Drainer

'Ava & the Carousel' Pink Belle & Boo Art Print

Pink floral Cath Kidston dress age 1-2

Pink Daisy romper, sizes up to 18 months

Pink Vintage Baby Knickers by Fox's Lane

Handmade Bunny in Pink Cardigan by Dandelion

Pink Elephant 'make it yourself' kit

Pink doll

Pretty Pink cleaning cloths

Pink Mexican dress in ages 1, 2, 4, 6

Pink tutu, ages 2 and 4

Pink 'Darling Dynasty' wallet

Here are some other pink things from the shop today - but these are not in the giveaway. Especially my pink Liberty dress which you can just see next to the flowers in the last picture. It's my favourite dress. I'm looking forward to seeing what is your favourite pink thing!

Thank you everyone for taking part in the BCNA giveaway! It is now closed and I will be announcing the winner in the next few days. xx

Oh dear too many beautiful things to choose from here, thought it was the Cath Kidston dress, why? it's Cath Kidston. But I will have to say the lil knickers, anything with vintage girls, you've got me!

Tracey said...

What a good thing!!!! Well done :)Oh, the pink elephant fabric kit is my fave, never seen it before and it would be the perfect gift for a little newborn girl. cute!

Alissa said...

Hi, what a great idea you have had :) I like everything, but I think my favourite is the cute pink chair.

Hi Allison! I've become such a fan of your blog and am can't wait for the day I can visit your store. Unfortunately I live in Cairns!!!
I think it's wonderful you are supporting the Breast Cancer Network.
My favourite pink thing has to be the make-it-yourself pink elephant kit because I had a stuffed elephant toy when I was a child ... it was a favourite for many years and is sadly no longer pink!
But all of your pink things are super gorgeous!

(PS You've inspired me to become a "beginner blogger"... shannonscreativecorner.blogspot.com)

Good on you for being so wonderful and generous. As an owner of boobs, supporting causes like this is invaluable.

And as for the favourite pink thing - hands down the Belle and Boo print. Although I wish my gal was a wee bit smaller as I ADORE the Cath Kidston dress. Oh my, swoon!

What a beautiful idea. My husband's mother died from breast cancer when he was 18, and I lost a dear friend to the disease in London, so its a cause close to my heart especially as my children don't have a granny in Aus. I adore the Cath Kidston dress, but like Kirsty D my daughter is too big for it now, so I will say the spotted gypsy skirt is my favourite. And bless you for your generous inspiration - Clara

Clara said...

ooops, am i allowed to change my mind and say the mexican dress? If so, the mexican dress! thanks - Clara

Debbie said...

This is such a fantastic idea - we had a girls night in last Saturday for it. Plus Pink is totally my favorite colour and so it made it hard to choose but I choose 'Ava & the Carousel' Pink Belle & Boo Art Print - SOOO cute! If I could visit your store I could stay for hours!

I adore that you are giving 50c for my comment but you know I would also be happy if you happen to pick my name out of the hat that selling the beautiful gift in your store and adding it to the money would be my choice.

If you have a tiny moment you will see I have been to a pink breakfast last Sunday and the Masonic grand lodge raised over $28,000.00 on the day. (O! and I was in the herald sun on the Monday too!!) What a lot of fun it was to help such an important fundraiser for the woman and many men too of the world.

Hugs to you. Lee-ann

What a great idea! That's so good of you to donate money as well as giving away a prize!
I'm quite fond of the pink doll, I'm in love with anything vintage plus I don't think the doll is available in the online shop so I wouldn't be able to purchase it otherwise.

Speaking of cancer have you seen on twitter how each time someone writes #beatcancer 1c is donated to cancer research?!

I personally have not lost a beloved one to breast cancer but do believe that if we all help in the fight now we could prevent more beloved ones from passing. I really love the DIY pink elephant kit for my new baby cousin. She will be arriving late March or early April of 2010. It would be the perfect doll for her. Thanks for the chance and for your work in the fight against breast cancer!

How did a miss a post with Pink in the title?

A very worth while cause and one the very close to my heart - having lost a friend and nearly lost another.

Would love to be considered for your giveaway if you're including the UK? The bunny with the pink cardi is my favourite and I could promise it a loving home :)

BTW I love your shop - just wish you were closer!
