Tree Drama

The tree is up, and decorated! Yay! There was a slight drama when Paul went to put the star on the top of the tree and discovered a rather large green jumping spider living there. My son informed me that this species is 'not aggressive but can give a painful bite'. Much rushing about to find the Spider Catcher (best invention ever) ensued, and the spider was removed to the garden and all is now peaceful again. Wow, feels like Christmas! xxx

Ok this is one post that makes me glad to be in the UK - our spiders are only hairy but completely safe!

Enjoy your summery christmas - we've got our first proper frost in my corner of the UK today with a promise of snowflakes :) :)

Tree looks stunning....although think you might have put me off real trees for life, spider situation sounds terrifying....I'd be rushing home to check all my branches but this year we dug out the plastic one from the attic so we should be safe...maybe I should invest in a spider catcher just in case...

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your tree

Your tree looks stunning, I am glad nobody got bitten by the spider.
In my house I am the spider catcher, harmless ones i use my hands but bigger than that i use a plastic bowl or plate and then take them outside.
I am going to chech out the spider catcher tho right now....

Wow - a spider who thought he was a star. Now that's different!

What a gorgeous tree. No wonder the spider wanted to adorn it. Thank you for that link. I have a billion big hairy scary spider stories but I have never had one on top of my Christmas tree. xx

Ew, ew ewwwwwwwww! I hate spiders. I just Googled the green jumping spider, and I about freaked. I'm in the States, and if I ever see a spider bigger than a cm, I flip out.

You are brave! :)
