Finders Keepers

I am REALLY excited to have been accepted for a spot at the Finders Keepers first Melbourne event on 9/10 October. I have already started planning in my head the most perfect display. I'll be bringing the full range of Daisy Lane and Belle & Boo, as well as some one-off handcrafted pieces that I am also working on. This is one craft event you wont want to miss if you are in Victoria, so put it in your diary now! Find all the details here.

Shop Update - good news and bad news

There is a lot of good stuff going on in our little shop at the moment...

The new Daisy Lane section is looking pretty

We've piled up the handmade section with lots of goodies...

Olive's Friend Pop new season beauties are ready and waiting to be worn by lucky little people

Tightology tights are looking good

The new Belle & Boo book is here - currently you'll have to come to Daylesford to buy the book but it will be online in a few weeks

Mister Mista is flying out the door

Cute-tastic Tokyo belle lettersets!

We've extended the stationery section to make space for all the new Sukie notebooks. We love stationery!

I might add that all this loveliness is just a temporary measure. At the end of September we will be making over the shop completely to launch the Spring ranges, which are totally amazing this year. We will have lots of newness from Rice, Cath Kidston, Naomi Murrell, Cuckoo Nest and other favourite ranges. Just wait and see! We might even throw a little party to celebrate!

Ok, here's the bad news - the shop will only be open weekends during September. That's 10.30 to 4.00 on Saturday and Sunday.

We'll be back to extended hours in October, hopefully with lots of sunny days ahead as we go into Spring! xx

Find the Lark shop at 4a Duke Street, Daylesford, Victoria. Behind the MS Op Shop (yay!).

Sunday Porridge

So I woke up this morning to find a trail of notes outside my door...

They all had little arrows pointing to the same thing...

Porich

They went through the living room and past a bemused puppy...

Into the kitchen...

Where I found on the bench...

Breakfast dishes beautifully laid out for two brothers.

I think this might be a hint that I am required to make porridge this morning. So that is what I did - yummy porridge with rhubarb and almonds!

Tightology is back for Spring!

Lots of Spring-y things are happening in the Lark shop at the moment. I personally have been eagerly awaiting the new stock of Tightology's pretty footless tights.

These are very popular with our customers so I have made sure to grab some for myself before putting them in the shop in case I miss out like I did in Autumn!

There are some nice new designs this season, including Deco, Traffic and Blossom. They are 100% organic.

The tights come in one size, to fit women size 8-14.

Tightology was created by Melbourne girl Vera Havari, she is one clever lady I think!

Belle & Boo Wall Decals

Well, the lovelies at Belle & Boo over in London have delighted us all by making fabric wall stickers featuring Mandy's illustrations. How gorgeous would these look in a child's room? As well as familiar illustrations like Belle Hugs Boo there are also some new images including Dino Ride, Donut and Hot Air Balloons. There are a range of sizes from mini (for decorating books and furniture) right up to a very large size, and the stickers will not damage your walls, you can move them as often as you like. Fab! The Belle & Boo decals were popular at Life in Style so we only have a small batch in our own shop so please be quick if you see one that you like. They are only available online, right here.

So I received this email today...

Hey a

We are locked in your craft room can u come open door
Cold has jammed it!

mm.

It's true, some visitors went out through the rain to my studio in the garden, and either the wind blew the door or my cheeky dogs locked it because they were trapped in there and had to send an email to me in the house to come and let them out! Well, there are probably worse places to be trapped!

Awww!

We have been sighing all day over the new season's delivery from Olive's friend Pop. We launched this young Australian brand in February and their first collection was a sell-out in the Lark shop. Our customers love the vintage styling, the attention to the tiniest detail and the use of Liberty-style florals and soft blues rather than the ubiquitous pink. Olive's Friend Pop clothes are truly made with love!

OK, it may be 6 degrees outside and raining (well, it is here in Daylesford) but it's not too early to start thinking of Spring and Summer days. To make sure you don't miss out on the loveliness, hop online or come to Daylesford this weekend to see the lovely pieces in person! Here's a sneak preview of our favourite new pieces from the second collection...

New stock just arrived - find them here in our Father's Day shop.

Rainy Monday...

I enjoyed one of those rare and precious days today, when you get to work at home, rain is raining down, you feel totally happy but in a mellow sort of way, Nick Drake is on the 'stereo', fresh baked zucchini lime cake and Mr Kipling's cherry bakewells await you in the kitchen, there are cushions to sew in pretty Liberty prints for the coming spring, friends are popping in, cats are lazing on comfy sofas and dogs are waiting patiently for lunch and a cuddle, your house is unusually tidy...

Daisy Lane is online!

You can now find Daisy Lane in our web shop right here! I hope you like it.

If you do, you might like to also join the Daisy Lane Club. Every one who signs up receives a club newsletter and badge, yay! And lots of little treats and offers. Such fun!

Talking of fun, I would like to share the credit for Daisy Lane with my two lovely friends Lyndsay White, who designed the Daisy Lane club website, and Danielle Price, who designed the cute logo and helped with the graphic design. They are both super-talented girls and a delight to work with. Enjoy!x

Papier Mache

The new issue of Papier Mache is online. Love, love, love, love, love. Love. So many inspiring children's features and best of all there is a whole story about Creme de la Creme a la Edgar, one of my favourite shops in the world, in Copenhagen. Time to put the kettle on before I swoon at all this gorgeousness! x
