Thinking of Queensland
Thinking of everyone affected by the Queensland floods this week. The news images have been completely unbelievable. I am used to the threat of bush fires since moving to Australia but a flood is something I've never even thought about before. I spoke to a friend in Ipswich - she managed to get out with her kids just before they closed off the road, and get to her parents in Brisbane yesterday, she doesn't know what has happened to her house but at least they are all safe. Here's hoping that the devastation will not be too bad once it has all passed through. x

It is truly terrible. A friend of mine was flooded a few years ago and now not long after getting their house completed it has happened again. She is unbelievably optimistic and just happy that they are all safe.
yes - lets hope all is ok for your friend. it really is devastating and reminds all so clearly that things are just things, but life and loved ones are so so precious!!
There are lots of wonderful auctions & fundraisers going on in handmade blog land, i've got my auction & raffle up & running live now, plus a giveaway, just because.
My God Mother & her husband have lost their fencing business on the Bremer River & my darling husband lives in Brisbane so he's trying to get back as they need him to help with rescue & recovery, love Posie
we had a look at the houses in Milton and Rosalie yesterday arvo, it was so sad ... houses underwater, bins floating down the street. It's going to be such a mess to clean up.
it's all so sad yes ... I know toowoomba well - have lived there and I could not believe my eyes - you be safe in the summer season - le xo
