Op Shop Road Trip

Today we all piled into the car and drove a long way out into the country to some of our favourite little towns for a spot of family op shopping. I snapped some of the lovely things I saw with my iPhone to share with you. Only a few of these came home with me I'd like you to know, I was quite restrained as it's part of my new year thingy to not hoard too much vintage stuff! (But you know, some things were too good to resist...).

Please tell me you got that square cake tin that all the other tins are in, please!

I've actually got that armchair! My Great-Grandmother stained the wood though, might have to investigate refinishing it.

Oh I so miss op-shopping (and especially country op-shopping!). I'd find some of those delights very hard to walk past indeed - especially the 'Mexican' vase and the gorgeous bird figurine. Thanks for a virtual op-shop hit!

Ha! I was actually going to comment on "CaRazzzy Synchronicity", but realised, most of my 'spare time' is spent op-shopping, so hardly surprising, really...WHAT is, surprising is, that yesterday I was Oppy Shopping in Arizona! AND scoring big time, too. AND I was thinking of you, too, I often do, you know, but I'd just had your email vis-a-vis collection a day etc and was ruminating upon your year, my year, the years of other loved ones, and the joy of the rummage took over and flipped my mood entirely. I found a mint repro Kit Kat clock! I have JUST finished photographing and will ...shock...awe... post 'em on my blog! (The slackest blogger on the circuit...my problem is I blog in my head and my wifi can't seem to access my files...Ohhh the posts I have imagined....)
Main point is; I was thinking of you! Truly Ruly! I even found Holly Hobbie and thought even harder about you!

I'm SOO organising sea shipping for a tea chest of USA OP SHOP GOODNESS. Mad not to.
